Mobile Community Qeep gets a boost from Brazil

COLOGNE, Germany, March 15th 2012 – For mobile social discovery and gaming platform qeep, the key to success is a truly international network. And since the app extended its worldwide reach with a Portuguese language version, thousands of new users have joined the community’s 12 million ‘qeepers’ to chat, flirt and play – giving the Cologne-based company another burst of growth.

Since joining the German, English and Spanish versions in December 2011, the Portuguese version of qeep has created tremendous growth in the previously untapped Brazilian market. Today, over 150,000 users from Brazil use qeep to meet and interact with new friends from around the world – helping the app achieve 60 million mobile page impressions per month, in Brazil.

Qeep is a free app, and compatible with over 1,000 Java-enabled feature phones and most Android smartphones.

For Cornelius Rost, managing director and co-founder of qeep, it’s a crucial development:

“People prefer to interact in their own language. We make this possible by providing fun and friends in mobile users’ native language, creating a social platform for everyone.”

Christian Schulte, co-founder of qeep, adds:

“Brazil is an unrivalled market with a unique culture, great economic prospects, and huge potential for mobile internet. Our success in this exciting growth market is a fantastic achievement by our entire team. There’s lots to come for qeep – and now our Brazilian users can join in the excitement.”
