COLOGNE, Germany, February 1st 2013 – It’s a match made in heaven for qeep, the Cologne-based social discovery platform, as it brings together its most prominent and successful features – flirting and gaming – for its new matchmaking game Flirt-o-Rama.
The latest in a series of addictive qeep games, Flirt-o-Rama launched in December and already boasts close to 10 million flirt ratings (user interactions), with 200,000 more being added every day. Around 50,000 qeepers have already found their ideal ‘flirty friend’ through the game.
The idea’s simple: players rate their favourite qeepers from the worldwide community by browsing the Flirt-o-Rama photo gallery. If two players rate each other positively, they’re notified so that the flirting fun can start. All ratings are anonymous and are only disclosed to matching pairs.
There’s more good news for qeep. Revenue was up by 40% in 2012, and the number of registered users now exceeds 18 million – up 50% from 2011. Qeep users generated 15 billion page impressions in 2012, including over 1.5 billion in one recent month alone.
“We’re extremely proud of our success in 2012,” says Christian Schulte, co-founder and managing director of BLUE LION mobile. “Solid growth across all KPIs has justified last year’s product strategy, and our strategically important smartphone business in particular saw significant success – our Android app now accounts for over 25% of our active users and page impressions. Our strong upcoming line-up ensures these positive trends will continue in 2013. Flirt-o-Rama is just the first in a tremendous series of launches, and the perfect start to an exciting new year.”
Qeep is one of the world’s largest mobile social discovery platforms. Members of the community can meet new friends around the globe, chat, flirt, blog photos, and play live multiplayer games. Qeep can be downloaded for free at qeep.mobi or via the Google Play Store. Founded by BLUE LION mobile GmbH in late 2006, qeep connects more than 18 million users in over 200 countries. The headquarter is located in Cologne, Germany.
